Digipak

A digipak is a form of a cd case but it is patented style of either a DVD or a CD. It is mainly a book style. It is mainly used for CD singles and special edition albums.  A DVD digipak is usually used for  premium packaging for a special edition DVD or DVD set. New released video games also use a digipak and is mainly com[posed of art designs to attract potential buyers.

A company might decide to use a digipak  for their new release of DVD or CD because a digipak offers a range of advantages than the traditional jewel cases. Advantages such as a digipak is self contained which allows the disc to be more protected. A digipak can also be covered with graphics inside and out, making them more visually interesting and appealing to their audiences. They could also personally design the graphics to attract a certain type of audience. A digipak could also include a better USP than the traditional cases which only features paper inserts and booklets.
